Magnet activated drawer and cabinet locks are popular because they keep drawers and cabinet doors completely shut unless opened by the magnetic "key". Unlike other locks which require you to open the drawer or door a bit to release the latch, the magnet lock keeps door faces fully closed until unlocked, helping prevent pinched fingers.

To operate, simply place the magnetic key on your cabinet or drawer to unlock the latch and open the door. The lock stays open until the key is moved and closes automatically when the door or drawer is shut.
