The beauty of today's homes is the diversity of designs and materials used for stairways, room openings and doorways. But, the installation of hardware-mounted child safety gates can be difficult since a "one method fits all" hardware design does not exist.

Most installation hardware included with baby gates is sufficient for installations into wood door frames or wall studs only. If you're not installing your gate into a wooden door frame or wall studs, then you will likely need additional materials to ensure a safe and secure installation. The All-Purpose Safety Gate Installation Kit by KidCo can save you several trips to the lumber yard and hardware store. Plus, you can stain or paint it to coordinate with your decor.

This installation kit has the materials and fasteners necessary to properly install most any brand of hardware-mounted child safety gate to wood stairway banisters, hollow wall (drywall/sheetrock) or wrought iron. Use this kit to install our Cardinal Safey Gates - it is also useful in installing our KidCo Center Gateway in some stair banister situations - see the 3rd image below.
