Mardi Gras melamine dishes are shatterproof and dishwasher safe, but not recommended for microwave use (melamine dishes will heat up in the microwave). Melamine plastic is not 100% unbreakable and can chip or break if dropped on hard surfaces, but Mardi Gras is so tough, it does carry a 2-year replacement warranty against breakage.
