Safety Gate Installation Clamp Kit for Stairway Banisters

Our Stairway Banister Installation Kit helps you install virtually any baby safety gate in stairway railing and banister situations. Wood clamps provide a means for attaching your gate to a banister or newel post without damaging the post with screws. Then, a 34” wood strip is attached to the clamps to provide a versatile and secure base that can be used with most hardware-mounted baby safety gates.

Works with baby gates with mounting hinge and lock bracket hardware less than 1.5” in width, including our Cardinal Safety Gate and KidCo Center Gateway, KidCo E'longate, and KidCo's Configure Gate and Hearth Gate, plus other brands.

The Stair Banister Installation Kit fits banisters with the following measurements:
Square Clamps fit Square Posts from 3” to 3.5” in width.
Round Clamps fit Round Posts from 2.5” to 3” in diameter.
Shorter bolts can be obtained from the hardware store if needed.

What will you need?:
-- Buy one kit if the gate will be mounted to a wall on one side and bannister on the other.
-- Buy two kits if the gate will be mounted to bannisters on both sides.

Measure your bannister diameter, top and bottom, (remember the kit is versatile, round clamps can be positioned to fit most tapered bannisters) and determine the type of kit that you need:
-- Round Kit: for posts that have round top and bottom
-- Square Kit: for posts that have square top and bottom
-- Round/Square Kit: for posts that have square top and round bottom - or vice-versa

The Bannister Clamp Installation Kit is made of unfinished wood and can be painted or stained before installation to match décor.
